RAD-501 RADIATION MONITOR
RAD-501 Radiation monitor is designed to detect and display the radiation in a multipurpose environment with high flexibility of working with different detectors..
The pulses received from the detector
to be connected via the plug-in connector at the front panel are shaped and
cleared of noise and the results thus obtained are displayed on the LCD
graphic display . While all its functions can be controlled by connecting to an
external computer, it’s also possible to obtain all the measurement results
stored in the memory through a serial port. It can make measurements within the
range of 0,5 uSv/h -1 Sv/h (50 uR/h to 100 R/h) depending on the span of the
detector.
With the help of the keyboard on the front panel it is possible to control all
the functions of the system easily. Automatic scanning and calibration
operations are enabled by pressing the Function keys.
It enables quantitative as well as qualitative measurement of radiation energy.
Thus it is possible to measure and record only the selected type of energy.
Single channel analyzer width can be set with the keyboard.
Differential and integral measurements are possible. RAD-501 Monitor possesses a
always running BIT (Built in test) function. It allows continuous testing and
control of all system functions. The rate of battery charge and radiation
concentration can be continuously monitored by means of a bar graph displayed on
the screen.
RAD-501 is a multi-purpose and user friendly radiation monitor. It’s detector
is designed such as to ensure alpha, beta, gamma and X-ray measurements are made
with a high degree of precision. System performance is determined in conformance
with the level of sensitivity of the detector used.
A bargraph which enables the digital display of radiation intensity is
provided.
The Monitor is a portable and compact device. While it can function as a
ratemeter and also be used as a instantaneous radiation intensity meter . It
can also provide the cumulative dosage value . It emits a sound signal
audibility of which changes with the intensity of the radiation level. The
frequency of sound also changes in response to the different levels of radiation
intensity.
The Software developed carries out the following “smart” applications :
Calculates
the average values of the measurements and displays it on the screen as a
bargraph
